The New Year.

"Before we pop the champagne and celebrate the New Year,
we need to stop and reflect on the year that has gone by.
To remember both our triumphs and our missteps -
our promises made, and broken.
The times we opened ourselves up to great adventures -
or closed ourselves down, for fear of getting hurt.
Because that's what New Year's is all about: getting another chance. A chance to forgive, to do better,
to do more, to give more, to love more.
And stop worrying about 'what if' and start embracing what would be.
So when that ball drops at midnight -
let's remember to be nice to each other, kind to each other.
And not just tonight but all year long."

New years eve was my favorite movie of 2011. So much,, that my goal is to spend a New Years in the great New York City. One day,, it will happen.

What can I say about the wonderful year of 2011?? It was the year I...
graduated
found love
made new friends
&& was reunited with old ones
got my first alcohol ticket
was released from foster care
became completely independent
got my first car
...and totaled my first car
went to festival of colors for the first time
moved to Seattle
learned how to drive a manual
lost some people I care about
&& there was so much more

Who knows what the year 2012 will be like. Every year something new and exciting happens, every year is filled with surprises, and every year something happens that we never could of imagined.

What I do know is my resolution is to be smarter, it's to be less afraid and to not be scared to be who I am. I'll start college, and hopefully find love again. Who knows. Let's just hope it's even better then this year, but I'm not sure that's possible,, this one is gonna be hard to top. Twenty-eleven was definitely a year to remember.
