"Emotions, drama, broken hearts, and lies && they say
these were the best days of our lives?"
We hear it everywhere. And we see it in the movies... Cliques, people judging others for what they wear, and only talking to "your group" buts it's not completely true. If you have seen Mean Girls there are certain seating arrangements during lunch and only with the people you associate with,, that's what high school is like right?? Wrong.
There is some truth yes, but everyone has friends outside of their circle, sophomores are friends with the juniors and seniors. Cheerleaders are friends with the girls on the Drill team. Boys are just friends with girls. FFA students are jocks, and preps. Kids in high school are all connected,, somehow.
The words to describe life in high school are...
envy
mistakes
name calling
jealousy
regret
harsh
stressful
lies
heart ache
boyfriends
girlfriends
confusion
friendship
trust
grades
amazing
Just hard.
If you were head cheerleader,, it doesn't matter. If you had a bad reputation,, it doesn't matter,, if you had a new boyfriend/ girlfriend every week,, it doesn't matter. If you were class president and friends with everyone,, it doesn't matter. Wanna know why? Because once high school is over. That's it. Nobody cares who you were anymore. I've learned you only stay close to the people you choose to, you make new friends, and day-by-day that person you were starts to fade and it all becomes nothing but a memory.
So for those of you still in high school, remember there is more to life then the clothes you wear, how many people you date, and how popular you are. Be nice, compliment someone if you think they look cute, talk to that guy/ girl you think is hot. Try out for dance, or basketball or whatever it is your interested in. You don't want to wonder what if, because the day you turn that tassel, is the day you will start to ask yourself those kinds of questions && when its all over,, the person you decide to become stays with you for the long hall. If you are the type of person to talk mad shit, after graduation your gonna get a reality check. Your gonna realize that being nice is the way to get friends, not making your self look better by dissing others. Your character is formed there. So decide, is the person you are now... the person you want to be when it's over?? If not change it, nobody wants to be that 23 year old living in the past.
